St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center (SEMC) is a teaching hospital of Boston University and offers patients access to some of Boston’s most respected physicians and advanced treatments for a full range of medical specialties. These include the Advanced Center for Cardiac Surgery, recognized by Healthgrades as one of "America’s 50 Best Hospitals for Cardiac Surgery"; a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit; and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center. The hospital has both a da Vinci® robotic surgery program and a Mako robotic-arm assisted surgery program. SEMC’s state-of-the-art emergency department provides care with short wait times and some of Boston’s most advanced imaging, including a 256-slice CT scanner to provide more accurate diagnosis of a variety of medical ailments.
