Kindred Hospital Northland is a 35-bed long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) providing specialized treatment for complex medical conditions. Opened in 2008, the facility includes a six-bed high observation unit and two medical/surgical units.
Located on Route 169 in the Northland community of Kansas City, Missouri, the hospital and its staff of healthcare professionals focus on the recovery of each patient and on restoring their quality of life in a warm, friendly atmosphere.
The hospital fills an important role in the continuum of care, addressing the needs of patients who cannot be effectively treated in conventional healthcare settings. Prominent among these are frail, elderly persons suffering from pre-existing medical conditions, critical illnesses and/or complex wounds requiring a level of on-going nursing care that exceeds the capabilities of most nursing homes.
Kindred Hospital Northland is operated by Kindred Healthcare, the largest diversified provider of post-acute care services in the United States, which has been named by Fortune magazine as a “Most Admired Company” five years in a row. Kindred's mission is to promote healing and hope, preserve dignity and produce value for each patient served – and their family.
