Since 1994, Desert Valley Hospital, an innovative 83-bed acute care hospital located in California's High Desert, has provided state-of-the-art quality health care. This high-touch care and integrated model is made possible by partnering with Desert Valley Medical Group, the largest multi-specialty medical group in the area since 1985. The facility is undergoing a 65-bed expansion with completion expected in 2011.
The facility was honored by the Premier Healthcare Alliance with the 2007 CareScience Select Practice National Quality Leader for superior patient outcomes in both quality and efficiency, recognizing Desert Valley Hospital as one of the top 1 percent of hospitals nationwide. Of some 4,700 acute-care inpatient contenders, Desert Valley was one of only 49 to receive the alliance's nod.
The facility was also been named a Top 100 Hospital by Thomson Healthcare & Modern Healthcare magazine in 2003, 2005 and 2006.
