Located in thriving western Wyandotte County, Providence Medical Center is a 400-bed community hospital serving the health needs of Wyandotte, Leavenworth and northern Johnson counties and the surrounding areas since 1920.  Providence’s skilled and compassionate staff includes more than 1300 highly qualified individuals who provide nursing, medical and support services to the growing community.

The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation and the Commission on Cancer, as well as by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories and the American College of Radiology on MRI and Mammography.

The Providence Joint Center and the Providence Spine Center have also been awarded three-star designations (the highest level available) as UnitedHealth Premium Specialty Centers – for healthcare quality and cost efficiency. According to UnitedHealth’s database, Providence is the only hospital to have applied for and received three stars in both categories.

Providence is affiliated with Prime Healthcare, one of the largest for-profit hospital companies in the nation.  In 2012 and again in 2013, Prime and was named by Truven Health Analytics as one of the "15 Top Health Systems in the Nation," based on quality of healthcare and patient satisfaction.
